Plot Summary

The Director of a private school Michel Delasalle — a bad husband and a very bad man. His colleagues can not stand his wife Christine, and even his mistress Nicole. Christina, which actually belongs to a school, wants a divorce, but Michelle says that would rather kill poor woman, than allow their ruin. Pushed to the limit, the former rivals are solved on an extreme step — drown Michel, during the weekend. Will only hide the corpse to the police about the disappearance and forget about this nightmare. But then the body disappears, and Christina begin to pursue strange visions... Meanwhile, a retired inspector of the fish begins to search for the disappeared husband of the headmistress.

The rights to the novel by Boileau-Narsezhaka, which shot the film, I wanted to get Alfred Hitchcock, but it was too late for a few hours. As a consolation, Boileau and Narsezhaka especially for Hitchcock wrote the novel "D'entre les Morts" ("dead"), which he made the film "Vertigo" (1958).
