River of No Return

Matt Calder returned from prison where he served time for the murder of a villain, finds his six year old son Mark in the camp of the American settlers of the "wild West", where he was taken in by a local cabaret singer Kay. Matt takes the child into their new home at the bend of the mountain river, and decides to start a new life among the vast expanses of North America.
