12-year-old schoolboy, Volka, swimming in the Moscow river, finds some ancient sealed vessel. The boy's curiosity so much that at the first opportunity Volka opens it and out of the vessel appears fabulous Genie Hassan Abdurahman Ibn hottab.
For what it saved him from two thousand years of imprisonment, the Genie, named Hottabych by the boy, becomes his faithful servant. He tries to ply the boy, pregna to his home a caravan of camels loaded with countless treasures. Together they will make a thrilling flight to India on a magic carpet ride
