Plot Summary
Did You Know?
Fils based on the novel Gregor Dofmaster (released under the pseudonym Manfred Gregor).
The film was shown in Soviet theaters in 1962 under the title "Severe retribution".
The film was shot in the Bavarian town of Cham. The bridge itself was named after Florian Galera, in 1994 it was destroyed and in its place built a new.
None of the tank shown in the film were not present. By 1959, the Bundeswehr still began to emerge and had no tanks at all. The Bernhard wicki came out of the situation by mounting a wooden model of the automobile chassis.
Stills from the film are often shown as a newsreel of the war years. For example, in the Soviet film "Seventeen moments of spring" (series 7, 8).
The original novel for the most part is an autobiography of Gregor: may 1, 1945 Gregor (who was then 16 years) and seven boys were put on guard of the input bridge of bad toelz from Allied forces. During this day of 8 boys killed five. Gregor ran away the next day, while the two remaining continued to defend the bridge. Later, Gregor returned to the bridge and found that they, too, are killed.
