Plot Summary

Three times in its history, mankind had to fundamentally change the view of himself. After Copernicus and Darwin, enormous and fundamental upheaval in the minds produced by the Austrian neurologist Sigmund Freud, who devoted his life to finding the true causes of mental illnesses and ways to overcome them. The film tells about the first years of independent work of Freud in the treatment of neuroses. During this period the young doctor had a hard time, due to the fact that his senior colleagues, scientists are categorically not taken a new method of treatment — hypnosis. Freud decided to officially stand in opposition to medical authority, at the risk of losing their jobs, livelihoods and ability to conduct their research.
