The film was the first starring role, 18-year-old Nikita Mikhalkov in the cinema.
Danelia called hero Mikhalkov name Kohl in honor of his son.
Some time after the start of filming Nikita Mikhalkov went to Georgy Danelia and asked to raise the fee from 8 to 25 rubles.
