Plot Summary

Vladimir works as a laborer in Siberia, in Moscow, he is passing through — its a short story published in the magazine "Youth" sparked the interest of the writer Voronin, who has invited Vladimir to an important conversation. In the subway, he meets with Nicky — a cheerful young lad returning from a night shift. Vladimir is going to stay with his friends but doesn't know exactly where is the right lane, nick offers to hold it. In Chistoprudny Boulevard Volodya bites unattended dog. Kolya invites Volodya home to sew up the torn pants, introduces him to the family. It soon turns out that the familiar Volodya left Moscow for the summer, Volodya leaves things Kolya and out of business. Alone in the house, nick hopes to sleep, but suddenly he comes to his friend Sasha, who is drafted into the army. Sasha asks nick to go with him to the military enlistment office to get a deferment due to the fact that Sasha is getting married today in the world.
