Plot Summary

Petrograd, October 1917. At the meeting of the Central Committee, Lenin poses the question of armed uprising. Zinoviev opposed the uprising. Then Sverdlov, Lenin puts the proposal to a vote, and the majority of members of the Central Committee voted for the resolution of Lenin. The provisional government hastily pulls troops to the Winter Palace, ready to crush the uprising. The commander of the Aurora Erickson receives the order to sail. However, the Chairman of the ship Committee of Aurora Belyshev cancels the order. Meanwhile, a foreign Ambassador advised Kerensky to surrender the city to the Germans, to stifle a rebellion
