Zatoichi meets a Japanese master in chess, and then with a very caring samurai, his assistant and his sister. Ichi becomes their friend, but then discovers that the player is the killer of the father of the samurai. Naturally, Ichi is forced to kill him. One of the best films of the series, with a slight homosexual undertone.
