American Andrew accompanies his young wife Sandra in her Italian home in Volterra. From cabinets blagoporyadochnogo Italian family skeletons start to appear. Sandra is haunted with memories of the dead in Auschwitz, his father, hostile relationship with the mother and incest with her brother Gianni.
