Plot Summary
Did You Know?
The film was shown in theaters in two series.
VoiceOver done by the Director. In the beginning I was looking for for this purpose the speaker, but his companions heard working versions of the commentary, written by himself, advised me to write the narration.
In the book by M. S. Voslensky's "Nomenklatura" referred to the fact that in Soviet times, the film was withdrawn from a wide rent and temporarily was not shown at all, and the Secretary of the CPSU Central Committee for ideology Mikhail Suslov told Romm: "Michael I. why we do not you like?", seeing the film criticism of the Soviet system.
In the UK the film was shown under the title "Echo of soldiers 'boots" (eng. Echo of the Jackboot), and in the USA under the name "Triumph over violence" (eng. Triumph Over Violence).
The writer of the movie Maya Iosifovna Turovskaya in 1992 emigrated on permanent residence in Germany and he still lives today in Munich.
The film Romm is mentioned in the famous novel Kochetova "What do you want?":"... I recently watched one newsreel picture about fascism. So there, you should have seen how it is presented! Cleverly presented, I tell you. It seems to be about Hitler, and the hint of us. And this epizodik and other. In the hall, of course, laughter, people are not stupid, understand these tricks."
