Plot Summary

Dim light blind lanterns, skeletons factory chimneys, choking in their own smoke. The tower of Babel skyscrapers, all of this — hell New time, new York. A veteran of the Vietnam war, Travis Bickle has its lonely taxi the night streets of infinite city, and before him unfolds a dark panorama of human sins. As the old Testament prophet, he hopes that one day heaven will be sent to the ground saving the rain that will clear new York from centuries of dirt. And when hope dies, there is only hatred. Rain of fire will fall upon the heads of sinners. The taxi driver will take care of it.

Sibylle Shepard accidentally got the part of Betsy. The producers searched for an actress that was described as typical similar to Sybille. The actress sue Mengers found out about this and asked the producers why would they not invite the shepherd.
