Plot Summary
Did You Know?
The idea of "Smokey and the Bandit" was born in 1976 in the movie "Gator" (1976), who had directed himself Burt Reynolds. The film was shot in his hometown of Reynolds, Georgia, and during the filming of the Playground was always Coors beer, which they brought with them. It dragged a "local" who worked on the set. It turned out that this beer is not one of them bring, and transportation of intoxicating beverages in large quantities is smuggling. This fact formed the basis of the story about "the Bandit", his friend "the Snowman", a charming girl, "the Frog" and Sheriff Buffardi Ti Justice. Hal Needham decided that the film with car chases and smuggling between States, could be successful.
