Adaptation of the novel by Stephen king.

First plans for the film adaptation of the novel by Stephen king appeared in 1984. James Mason was supposed to play the role of Kurt, but before he began shooting, he died of a heart attack. Richard Burton, who was considered as his replacement also died, and not having to obtain an official invitation to participate in the project. The third attempt of creation of the film took place in 1987, and this time it came to filming. However, after six weeks the works were interrupted due to significant budget overruns when the completion of the shooting process was only 10 days.
