Within four years over worked cartoon 450 animators. Art Directors Kathy Altieri and Richard Chavez and production designer Darek Gogol led a team of nine artists, working to create the overall visual style of the film. This process included a two-week trip to Egypt, and studying the artwork of Gustave doré and Claude Monet and the style of Director David lean in "Lawrence of Arabia".
At that time, as the characters-the Egyptians have a somewhat symmetrical, angular appearance, characters, Jews were given a more natural appearance.
The film was historically and theologically accurate, consultations were held with biblical scholars, Christian, Jewish and Muslim theologians. After previewing the cartoon they said that the creators listened to their advice, and praised the Studio.
