Plot Summary

In the daylight it was called don Diego, but as soon as falls a southern night, Zorro is transformed into a fighter against evil and a rewarder according to merit all the surrounding villains, regardless of rank and titles.

The film is based on the story "Curse of Capistrano" (1919) by Johnston mcculley.

The film was adapted for shooting by Douglas Fairbanks and Eugene Miller and prepared for production by his own company "United Artists", which was founded jointly by Fairbanks, Mary Pickford, Charlie Chaplin and David Wark Griffith.

The film was shot in California, around Los Angeles, in the valley of San Fernando, which was built many buildings depicting small town of the early nineteenth century. When during the filming of the fires occurred, the whole crew actively participated in extinguishing the fire that threatened to destroy the rebuilt scenery.
