Poor Men's Wives

Laura Bedford marries a poor taxi driver Jim Mabery, and her friend, Claribel for the wealthy Richard Smith-Blanton. Several years later, fate brings the women together. Claribel invites Laura to the prom, and she gladly agrees. Because Laura is very poor, she is forced to take a ball dress hire. On holiday at Claribel it begins to buzz Smith-Blanton, but Laura does not respond to his advances. After the ball children Laura accidentally spoil a rented dress, and the woman has to compensate the loss by paying all friend Jim. Learning of this, Jim throws her, but then he has to protect his wife from obsessive courtship Smith-Blanton, and between the spouses once again peace reigns.
