Plot Summary

On the eve of the First world war... In the famous Viennese amusement Park Pretori work Sylvester urban and his daughter Agnes. Their owner, Shani Huber — people are pathologically cruel, and his ever-increasing lust for Agnes suggests impending trouble... But then his Majesty the Case brings Agnes with count Franz Hohenegger from the entourage of the Emperor. Concealing his noble origins, Franz was a simple merchant. Realizing he's in love with Agnes, Franz nonetheless forced to enter into marriage with the Countess Gisela — after all, the Emperor himself insists on a speedy wedding
