The film is set in the 1920-ies. The main character is an ambitious young man, eager to make a career. He goes to the big city and gets a job as a salesman in a Department store. But his mistress, which waits until he succeeds, to move to live to him, our hero wrote a letter in which conceals the lack of career advancement.
Suddenly a girl comes to town and comes in a Department store, where her fiancé. At the same time the hero finally gets the chance to prove himself. Soon it'll be his finest hour!
