Psychological drama "Parisienne," the legendary silent movie of manners of high society, in which Charlie Chaplin has demonstrated a range of new expressive means, quite unexpected for a movie of that time. Critics of this film Chaplin very much, but the audience, in love with the Little Tramp, treated him coolly.
Only after many years it became obvious that the genius of Chaplin extends far beyond the image of the Vagabonds Charlie.
