Plot Summary

After Marc Headley unexpectedly made a fortune in oil, he leaves his wife with the intention to get a younger companion. Soon, his mistress becomes a school friend of his daughter Marjorie, a young Parisian woman, Lila Millas. Marjorie, in turn, enjoys Kent Merrill, a man of questionable moral principles from the point of view of her father. Mark orders his daughter to break up with a lover, but they still continue to occur. One day, Marjorie finds a father in the arms of Lila, and in response decides to escape with Merrill. Mark comes belated remorse. He throws Leela, returned to the family and finds that now his wife is going to divorce him. Further, Merrill gets in a car accident, and experienced stress helps him to realize that he really loves Marjorie. The two are married, and this event contributes to the reconciliation of parents Marjorie.
