The rich man hires Severn Bartley Greer, a young man without a definite occupation, to follow his disobedient daughter prudence. Clearing room in one with the girl house, Bartley wins her location and friendship. When prudence becomes aware that Bartley is recruited by her father, she breaks up with him and agrees to marry a Bohemian artist Rolf.
