Moreover, participation in this project significantly helped Robert's experiments on the construction of the present liquid-fuel rocket.
The film was first shown pre-launch countdown. It was invented as a dramatic technique to heighten tension, but proved extremely useful and subsequently in a natural way has become a practice missile launches.

In the pavilion, where the film was shot, in the summer of 1929, worked as a simple laborer 17-year-old Werner von Braun. After forty years under the leadership of the man was carried out of the real flight to the moon for the Apollo program.
The launch complex for space rockets in many details strikingly similar to the NASA spaceport at Cape Canaveral, исключениtм start from the water-filled mine. Other circumstances (the large size of the rockets, filling with liquid fuel, removal from the hangar to an upright position, stepping the mast, landing crew with a lift in the second tier) is an example of a surprisingly accurate technical foresight.
According to the concept of the film the weightlessness in space is not (it occurs only in the area of balance of gravitational forces of the Earth and moon).
