Plot Summary

England of the late XVII century, the civil war is in full swing. Doctor Peter blood is wrongly referred to the rebels and sent into slavery on a plantation in Jamaica. There, he quickly becomes a deadly enemy in the person of the Governor of Jamaica, Colonel Bishop, but wins the heart of his pretty niece Arabella. Peter with the friends manage to escape from the island taking Spanish ship, and soon he becomes the most famous and successful pirate of the Caribbean. In the role of captain blood was supposed to play Robert Donat, but in the end, the heads of Warner Bros. decided to take a chance and replaced him with Errol Flynn, then no one unknown actor from Australia.
